An opportunity has arisen for a proactive and experienced individual to join the School of Health, Education & Care as an Assessor. The role would be ideal for someone seeking to have a positive effect on the lives and learning experience of our Childcare students. There is the potential to assess students across Level 2 Early Years and T Level Education Programs.

The successful applicant will need to have the necessary skills to support Further Education learners and be part of a large team thriving in a dynamic learning environment. The right candidate will be someone with up-to-date industry knowledge in Childcare and an understanding of the diverse range of students with differing needs in the FE sector.

The ideal candidate will be proactive, flexible and student-centred with the ability to provide pastoral care and be a strong role model for our students. A relevant degree or level 3 qualification, industry experience and assessors’ qualification are required and assessing experience for T-Level qualifications is desirable.

You will be responsible for arranging DBS checks and building on established relationships with local employers whilst creating new employer links. You will proactively liaise with employers and monitor learner progress whilst on placement. This role includes assessing learners in their placement setting in line with awarding organisations expectations and so a driving license and use of a personal car is a requirement of the role. Fuel for miles covered during visits will be reimbursed.

This is a part-time role, working 30 hours per week based at our Watford and Hemel Hempstead campuses. The closing date for applications is Friday 19th June 2026.
