We are seeking a motivated Senior Physiotherapist to join our Older Persons Therapy Team. The successful candidate will be supported to develop advanced clinical skills and extended practice in frailty, working alongside a highly respected, innovative, and dedicated multidisciplinary team.
This rotational role offers the opportunity to gain experience across a variety of clinical settings, including:
- Emergency Department (ED) and Acute Medicine Unit (AMU)
- Frailty Same Day Emergency Care (FSDEC)
- Older Persons’ wards
Applicants must have prior NHS experience and be registered with the HCPC.
Main duties of the job
- To provide physiotherapy to relevant patients within Frailty and older adults, in a range of settings including inpatients, outpatients and patient homes.
Detailed job description and main responsibilities
- To assess and treat patients in relevant rotational area.
- To support the team in the organisation and provision of an efficient, high quality and co-ordinated physiotherapy service for patients in each area.
- To undertake a defined clinical caseload.
- To ensure that patient and service standards and priorities are met.
- To provide clinical supervision to assigned Band 5 physiotherapists, technical instructors (TI), physiotherapy assistants (PTA) and students.
