FM Conway is seeking an experienced Small Tools Fitter to join our Plant and Workshop Division. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining our fleet of small plant equipment, carrying out preventative and reactive maintenance across mixed tools, and ensuring all plant items are inspected and ready for rehire to provide high-quality equipment to our customers. This is a full-time, permanent position, based in Dartford, Kent.

The duties of the Small Tools Fitter role will include:

  • Completing paperwork following any maintenance activities
  • Carrying out inspections on plant items, ensuring they are ready for rehire and that quality items are provided at all times for our customers
  • Working safely and compliantly with risk assessments and method statements, challenging any unsafe practices

What skills and experience do you need?

To be considered for the Small Tools Fitter role you will have previous experience in a similar position. You will have a strong understanding of the responsibilities associated with working in a workshop environment, consistently adhering to and promoting safe systems of work. A full UK driving license and your own tools are essential. In addition, you will be IT literate, and you will have excellent knowledge of various items of plant and small tools.
