ROLE PURPOSE

The Chef de Partie plays a key role in delivering high‑quality food and exceptional culinary experiences across live events, conferences, and exhibitions. Responsible for managing a designated kitchen section, the role ensures dishes are prepared and presented to consistently high standards while supporting smooth and efficient kitchen operations in a fast‑paced environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Kitchen Operations
    • Manage a designated kitchen section, ensuring efficient preparation and presentation of dishes.
    • Deliver high‑quality food consistently across events and daily operations.
    • Maintain high standards of cleanliness, food safety, and kitchen organisation.
  • Menu & Event Delivery
    • Support the planning and execution of menus tailored to live events and hospitality operations.
    • Adapt to changing event requirements and perform effectively under pressure.
    • Assist in delivering menus that cater for dietary requirements and diverse guest needs.
  • Teamwork & Leadership
    • Work collaboratively with the kitchen brigade to ensure smooth service delivery.
    • Support, train, and mentor junior chefs and kitchen team members.
    • Communicate effectively with kitchen and front‑of‑house teams.
  • Quality & Continuous Improvement
    • Monitor ingredient quality and presentation standards.
    • Support waste reduction and efficient kitchen practices.
    • Contribute ideas to improve kitchen operations, creativity, and guest experience.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

  • Previous experience as a Chef de Partie or similar role within a fast‑paced hospitality environment.
  • Strong culinary skills with a passion for food and presentation.
  • Experience within events, banqueting, conferencing, or large‑scale catering environments desirable.
  • Strong organisational, communication, and teamwork skills.
  • Good knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
  • Ability to remain calm, flexible, and focused under pressure.
