AWE is currently recruiting for an Asset Management Specialist. You will be part of an established and dynamic team, providing technical expertise in the facilitation and delivery of Failure Modes Effects Analysis workshops, provide assistance in driving through identified Asset Management improvements including identifying obsolescence of spares, developing strategies to overcome them and communicating this information to the wider AWE business so that availability and reliability of essential plant and equipment is improved to meet programme demands.
This role supports hybrid working, blending on-site attendance and home working promoting an optimal work/life balance.
You will be responsible for:
- Ensuring relevant asset related data is captured, accurate & configurations within the Asset Platforms to enable operational, tactical, and strategic decision making.
- Preparing technical documentation and reports to support findings and recommendations during the delivery of the optimisation process.
- Extracting data and preparing reports to support asset performance analysis.
- Identifying critical spare requirements to support the availability of key assets & identification of obsolescence risk.
- Leading Failure Mode Effect Analysis (FMEA) workshops & provide technical input to ensure key asset failures and consequence is identified and mitigation action recommended.
- Providing technical expertise in the application of the maintenance optimisation process.
- Ensuring stakeholder communities are provided with asset performance and project delivery status information as appropriate.
- Supporting root cause analysis for complex plant and equipment performance issues.
- Maintaining continuous Improvement of processes and procedures through review, learn, and improve.
Whilst not to be considered a checklist, candidates should be able to demonstrate some of the following:
- ONC/HNC in Engineering Discipline OR building discipline or suitable experience gained in an engineering or building environment.
- Knowledge of Asset Management, Facilitation and change management.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills.
- Good problem-solving skills.
- An understanding & knowledge of regulation and legislation with regards to engineering and maintenance.
- Experience of negotiation and facilitation to achieve desired outcomes.
- Knowledge/experience of ISO55000 and previous knowledge of working with EAM systems (Infor, SAP, Maximo etc) is desirable but not essential.
- Good working knowledge of MS Office (Word and Excel especially).
- Experience of reading and understanding technical information and/or have experience in working with Asset Information and Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
- Good interpersonal skills, with the ability to work as part of a team.
