The company specialises in the design, installation, and maintenance of fire and security systems, supporting clients across the West Midlands and throughout the UK.
Unlike many roles in this sector, this position offers the security of a permanent, employed contract ideal for someone who is well established in their trade and looking to move away from the uncertainty of subcontract or self-employed work. What we need from you:- Minimum 5+ years of experience in firestopping or passive fire protection works
- Ideally you will live in the West Midlands
- Proven background in the passive fire protection industry with demonstrated technical competence
- Strong knowledge of fire-rated systems, approved materials, and installation methods
- Ability to read and follow technical instructions, method statements, and safety procedures
- Basic understanding of construction drawings and specifications
- High level of attention to detail with a strong commitment to quality workmanship
- Solid understanding of fire safety principles and regulatory compliance
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision or collaboratively as part of a team
- Strong communication and coordination skills when working with site teams and other trades
- Proactive, solution-focused attitude with a willingness to learn and grow within a professional team
- Demonstrated commitment to health, safety, and site compliance standards
- Hold a current UK Driving Licence
- Install fire-stopping systems including batts and mastic, fire-rated sealants, cavity barriers, and fire-resistant compounds
- Seal service penetrations and construction joints in fire-rated walls and floors in full compliance with fire safety regulations and approved standards
- Carry out site surveys and inspections to identify areas requiring fire-stopping works and ensure compliance
- Provide training, supervision, and guidance to other fire-stopping operatives if required
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of Rockwool standard detail guides and approved fire-stopping systems.
Salary: Negotiable, depending on your level of experience.
Hours: Working full time hours, 8 hours a day on site, plus driving time.

- Uniform provided & footwear allowance
- Holiday Entitlement: 5.6 weeks per year, inclusive of public/bank holidays
