The successful candidate will be joining a small team, so they are looking for someone who is happy to get stuck in, work collaboratively and be flexible when covering colleagues during holidays or absence. The right attitude, attention to detail and approach to teamwork are particularly important for this position.
What we need from you:
At least 4 years' experience in a similar role
Good computer skills and confidence using different systems
Excellent attention to detail, particularly when checking customer order requirements
Good communication skills
A flexible, team-focused approach to work
Ability to maintain accurate stock records
Comfortable working within a busy warehouse/despatch environment
A willingness to learn the company's processes and systems

What the role involves:
You'll be involved in the day-to-day running of the despatch operation, helping to make sure customer orders are picked, checked, packed and ready for collection accurately and efficiently.
Your responsibilities will include:
Receiving incoming goods and checking deliveries
Putting stock away in the correct locations
Maintaining accurate stock levels and records
Carrying out regular stock checks
Accurately picking stock to fulfil customer orders
Carefully checking customer order details before packing
Packing orders and generating the appropriate delivery labels
Preparing completed packages for collection
Using the company's own computer systems as well as parcel forwarders' systems
Assisting with enquiries at the company's small trade counter
Helping to maintain a clean, tidy and organised warehouse
Working with colleagues to identify and resolve any stock, quality or despatch issues
Following company quality and health & safety procedures

Salary: Β£25,600 per year.
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8.30am–5.00pm, with one hour for lunch.
