Both Tan Hill Inn and The Green Dragon at Hardraw stand in stunning locations in the Yorkshire Dales National Park and experience high visitor footfall. They are privately owned free houses offering a traditional North Country pub experience with stone floors, open fires, beamed ceilings, and stone walls. As well as pub food and drinks they offer contemporary accommodation, ensuring their customers have a first-class experience, every time they stay or visit.
What we need from you to apply:
- Front of House experience is preferred but training is provided for those keen to get into the industry
- Be able to cover any staff shortages at the other site if needed
- Willing and keen to learn
- Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
- Be a team player, willing to muck in on other tasks if needed
- Friendly, bubbly personality
- Possess good attention to detail
- Driving Licence would be a bonus (not essential)
What this role involves:
- Greeting and seating guests as they arrive, providing them with menus and information about daily specials
- Taking food and drink orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring all dietary requirements are noted
- Providing excellent customer service by addressing guest inquiries and resolving any issues promptly
- Maintaining cleanliness and organisation of the front of house area, including dining tables and waiting areas
- Collaborating with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders
- Supporting bartending duties when required, including mixing drinks and serving responsibly
- Adhering to food safety regulations and best practices throughout all operations.
Salary: £8 - £14 per hour, depending on age, plus tips.
Hours: Working full or part time hours/different shifts available - flexible, to be agreed at interview - 16-40 hours per week and weekends on a rota basis.
