To be considered for this Drainage Engineer role, you will need:
- A minimum of 2 years' experience within the drainage industry, including high-pressure jetting, blockage clearance and CCTV surveying
- To live within a 30-minute drive of the depot in Coalville
- To be willing to undergo a DBS check
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team, supporting other operatives and engineers when required
- To be able to carry out daily and weekly maintenance checks on vehicles and equipment, ensuring everything remains fully operational
- A full UK Driving Licence
What you'll be doing:
As a Drainage Engineer, you will be responsible for:
- Leading a two-person team operating high-pressure jetting and CCTV surveying equipment
- Attending drainage-related issues, including emergency callouts for blockages and pipe cleaning as part of regular maintenance programmes
- Carrying out drain CCTV surveys on both small and large projects to a high standard using Wincan Reporting Software
- Accurately recording and providing feedback on completed works
- Delivering a high standard of customer service and technical expertise
Salary: £30,000 – £35,000 basic salary, plus on-call bonus, with an average OTE of £40,000 per year.
Hours: Working 45 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with core hours of 7.30am – 4.30pm. Some flexibility will be required around start and finish times. Overtime and weekend work is also available.
On-call rota: The on-call rota is currently 1 week in 4, Monday to Friday, although this may change depending on employee numbers. You will also be required to be on call for either a Saturday or Sunday once every four weeks. Bank Holidays also need to be covered, with these shared between all engineers.
