The successful candidate will be joining a small team, so they are looking for someone who is happy to get stuck in, work collaboratively and be flexible when covering colleagues during holidays or absence. The right attitude, attention to detail and approach to teamwork are particularly important for this position.
What we need from you: At least 4 years' experience in a similar roleGood computer skills and confidence using different systemsExcellent attention to detail, particularly when checking customer order requirementsGood communication skillsA flexible, team-focused approach to workAbility to maintain accurate stock recordsComfortable working within a busy warehouse/despatch environmentA willingness to learn the company's processes and systemsWhat the role involves: You'll be involved in the day-to-day running of the despatch operation, helping to make sure customer orders are picked, checked, packed and ready for collection accurately and efficiently.
Your responsibilities will include:
Receiving incoming goods and checking deliveriesPutting stock away in the correct locationsMaintaining accurate stock levels and recordsCarrying out regular stock checksAccurately picking stock to fulfil customer ordersCarefully checking customer order details before packingPacking orders and generating the appropriate delivery labelsPreparing completed packages for collectionUsing the company's own computer systems as well as parcel forwarders' systemsAssisting with enquiries at the company's small trade counterHelping to maintain a clean, tidy and organised warehouseWorking with colleagues to identify and resolve any stock, quality or despatch issuesFollowing company quality and health & safety proceduresSalary: £25,600 per year.
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8.30am–5.00pm, with one hour for lunch.
