We are seeking a skilled and motivated CNC Laser Programmer/Setter Operator to join an established precision engineering team. This is a hands-on role suited to an individual who can take initiative, solve problems independently, and contribute to high-quality manufacturing processes.

Our client operates in the automotive, acoustic, audio, and construction markets. They have an established customer base, exporting goods all around the world. A business producing quality products for the UK and exporting globally. Operating as a manufacturing business that works within multiple sectors like; Architectural, Construction, Steel, and Automotive.

What we need from you as a CNC Laser Programmer/Setter/Operator:

  • 3x axis flat bed experience essential
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
  • The ability to work independently as a self-starter, managing priorities effectively
  • A good understanding of safety and quality in a manufacturing environment

Desirable:

  • Experience with KUKA robot programming
  • 5x axis Trumpf experience
  • Trumpf SW48 experience

This role will involve you reporting to the CNC Machine Manager. Duties to include:

  • Programming and setting the Trumpf 8030 5-axis laser using TruTops SW48 software (latest version preferred; training provided for suitable candidates)
  • Operating the laser machine to achieve precise and consistent results
  • Performing basic operator-level maintenance to ensure reliable machine operation
  • Designing and developing jigs and fixtures to support internal manufacturing processes
  • Organising internal jig manufacture and ensuring readiness for production
  • Maintaining production documentation and ensuring adherence to quality standards


Salary:Competitive, depending on experience and qualifications.

Hours: Working 39 hours per week on days, Monday to Thursday 7.30am 4pm and Friday 7.30am 3pm.
