Location: Somercotes, Alfreton Job Type: Temporary to Permanent Salary: £15 per hour Job Summary: Recruit Works Limited are currently recruiting for a Maintenance Person to provide a wide range of repair work on various infrastructure, equipment and tools for a Pre Cast concrete factory. You will work to ensure that all aspects of a workplace or area run optimally by performing inspections on equipment, machinery and facilities. Responsibilities: * Responding to repair requests at residential and commercial buildings including plumbing issues, electrical faults and infrastructure issues such as jammed doors or landscaping work for gardens * Working in manufacturing facilities to resolve mechanical faults in equipment, installing new machinery and addressing faults in infrastructure or breakdowns * Inspecting heavy machinery, providing on-site maintenance to work equipment, upgrading old equipment and troubleshooting broke or faulty tools * Maintaining vehicles and inspecting them for wear and tear, replacing tyres, refilling vehicles with fuel and replacing broken components Qualifications and Experience: * Inspecting machinery, equipment, infrastructure and systems, such as air conditioning * Undertaking routine maintenance and cleaning of commonly used infrastructure such as flooring, elevators, stairs and entryways * Performing small repairs for infrastructure such as leaking taps, faulty door locks or jammed windows * Assessing safety equipment such as fire extinguishers and smoke alarms to ensure their quality and in good working condition * Landscaping work such as cutting grass, trimming hedges and clearing away debris such as fallen leaves * Analyzing problems, faults or areas of concern and troubleshooting the issue to find a solution * Maintaining vehicles, such as adjusting tyre pressure, cleaning windows, refueling and checking fluid levels. * Scheduling repairs effectively to cover various routine tasks, checks and maintenance across one site or between multiple locations Working Conditions: * Full-time position, Monday to Friday. * Shifts generally start at 6am or 7am, with a minimum of 10 hours per day. * The role involves working in a busy concrete factory environment. * Weekly pay with a one-week delay. * Temporary position with the potential to transition to a permanent role.
