Are you driven by a passion for data quality, governance, and building frameworks to help drive business decisions? Do you thrive on solving complex data challenges and leading teams toward a unified goal of excellence? In this role as Data Governance Manager you will make a transformative impact on data strategy.

As Data Governance Manager, you’ll be the architect of the data governance framework. You’ll lead with vision, enhancing how data quality shapes decisions, minimises risk, and supports long-term goals. This is an opportunity to bring a data strategy to life through collaboration, innovation, and a commitment to best practices.

This role is really focused around setting up a data governance framework and engaging with people across the business to stick with it. You’ll work with people to identify data issues and establish a roadmap for improving and fixing data risks.

Key Responsibilities as Data Governance Manager:
  • Build and own the data governance framework and champion data governance so teams embrace data excellence.
  • Lead, innovate and drive data quality improvement projects and audits, and identify and resolve data quality issues.
  • Act as the subject matter expert on data governance, setting the standard for quality metrics, audits, and project outcomes.
  • Work cross-functionally to shape the Data Landscape and define how you store, classify, and manage data.
  • Educate internal stakeholders on best practices, regulations, and emerging standards, making sure every team member understands the importance of data quality.
  • Lead the creation of a ‘Data Community’ that includes Data Owners and Stewards.
  • Collaborate with the Data Protection team to ensure compliance standards are consistently met.

You would be an excellent fit as Data Governance Manager if you have:

  • Previously implemented data quality frameworks
  • Have been responsible for data governance (or aspects of) in an organisation
  • Good knowledge and practical working of data quality and governance related policies, procedures, development, and you are aware of risk management
  • A good grounding in governance administration with a keen eye on data security

This is a great role if you see the bigger picture and want to leave a lasting impact on how a Housing Association uses and respects its data. You’ll make strategic decisions, educate and empower, continuously improve, and collaborate across teams.

A salary of £55,000 is on offer with great additional benefits. This role will be hybrid working from their office in the South East.

Interviews will be taking place in Early June, with the IT Director looking to review applications as soon as possible.
