Are you a well-rounded, collaborative and genuinely engaged data professional looking for your next step? Are you ready to move from hands-on analysis into shaping a data function? If so, this could be the perfect opportunity you have been looking for.
This Housing Association is looking for a Data Manager to lead their small but growing data team. This is an ideal role for an experienced Data Analyst who is confident in their craft and now ready to develop into a data management, leadership and strategy position. You’ll probably have deputised at this level or taken on some dotted-line responsibility previously.
In your team you’ll have a BI Analyst and a Data Analyst who work across the technical and in-house customer focused aspects between them. So, this is your chance to take ownership of data quality, reporting and performance insight across an organisation with a strong social purpose. You’ll help them to understand what they do well, where they can improve, and how they can use data to make better decisions for the people who rely on them.
Excitingly, you’ll also hold overall responsibility for the key business programme of migrating data into a new housing management system, so you’ll help cleanse, process map and script with your team.
To be a great fit as Data Manager, you must have:
- Worked in a Housing Association or Local Authority (This is a must; your sector specific data knowledge is essential)
- Strong background as a Data Analyst or Manager with hands-on experience producing management information and insight.
- Solid experience building and maintaining Power BI dashboards and reports.
- Experience of data migration ideally linked to a housing management system implementation.
- A track record of improving data quality, creating meaningful KPIs and supporting performance reporting.
- Comfortable with large datasets, SQL, and general data modelling principles.
- A friendly, supportive nature, and able to collaborate with all levels.
In short, this is an important strategic role at a collaborative organisation where you can genuinely make your mark, without red tape. You won’t just be a cog in a big machine; you’ll be the lead for all things data.
If you’re an experienced Data Analyst ready to step confidently into a Data Manager role, with prior housing sector experience, then I’d love to hear from you.
This is a remote role, but you must be based in the UK. If you are based in Yorkshire, then you’ll be able to go into the office if you liked.
The salary on offer is circa £50,000 with the ability to stretch a little above, and some great benefits.
