Are you passionate about data governance & quality and know how to keep people engaged? Experienced in taking ownership of a data strategy that drives change? I am working on behalf of Housing 21 to recruit for a brand new Head of Data & Business Intelligence. The role will transform how they use data to make decisions, influence culture, and drive change across the organisation. You will be setting the vision, building the roadmap, and taking people on a journey with you.
Data is at the heart of everything they do, they’ve recently started the journey with a data empowerment project and now need someone to bring it all together. As a business they are striving to be top of the class with everything they do. You will play a key role in achieving their ambition to move from a C2 to a C1 rating by year-end. The role isn’t just about tech. It’s about culture, collaboration, and making data meaningful, from compliance and housing standards to strategic insights that shape the future.
What’s in it for you?
- Freedom to shape the role: This is a blank canvas. You’ll define the strategy, set priorities, and influence at every level.
- Impact at scale: You’ll lead conversations on data quality, governance, and best practice, coordinating frameworks and working with BI teams and data owners.
- Supportive environment: Leadership is fully behind this role. You’ll have momentum, not pressure for speed, and a culture that values collaboration.
- Flexibility that works for you: Remote working, a 9-day fortnight, and a strong Glassdoor rating make this a great place to thrive.
You’ll be a great fit if you are:
- A self-starter who loves rolling up your sleeves and making things happen.
- Able to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences, and you know what good looks like when it comes to data strategy and BI best practice.
- Experienced in understanding the business model and loving the challenge of change.
- Experienced in implementing Data Strategy, Data Quality and Data Governance in Social Housing or equivalent.
This is a high-profile role with full leadership backing and the timing is critical. If you’re passionate about data, transformation, and influencing culture, we’d love to hear from you. The role is remote first however they do have a head office in the West Midlands which you are able to visit.
