This role reports directly to the Head of IT, and you’ll be working alongside highly experienced, seasoned IT professionals for a notable Financial Services brand.
Role/Profile Overview Of Responsibilities
- Manage and administer the Azure infrastructure to ensure all resources are kept secure and the environment is always operating efficiently.
- Ensure all SLAs are being met and any service requests or incidents are resolved in a timely manner.
- Work within an ITIL framework and adopt ITIL principles.
- Perform any necessary upgrades in the Azure infrastructure.
- Collaborate with the IT & Change division in delivering various complex projects.
- Manage and maintain virtual machines through Azure.
- Continuously review IT security alongside the IT Manager.
- Play a key role in the design and delivery of architectural solutions required by the Group.
- Drive continuous improvement, with particular emphasis on automation and support of our key Dynamics 365 platform.
- Occasionally carry out administrative tasks through Office 365, including OneDrive, Teams and SharePoint.
Skills/Experiences
- Strong demonstrable experience in an IT infrastructure support, project and cloud roles.
- A track record of rapidly identifying and resolving issues.
- Experience using/supporting Dynamics 365 SaaS/PaaS products.
- Experience developing or improving automation processes to speed up deployment and remove human error.
- A track record of adapting to change and learning quickly in a fast‑paced environment.
- Experience with configuration management tools such as SCCM.
- Experience with cloud management and monitoring platforms/toolsets.
- Knowledge of best practices related to security, networking and system management.
- High level and understanding of Microsoft Azure.
- Extensive experience delivering, managing, maintaining and optimising Microsoft Azure solutions.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft desktop and server operating systems.
- Experience with support infrastructure solutions based on Microsoft and Linux operating systems.
- Experience with virtualization platforms such as VMWare or Hyper‑V.
- Knowledge of firewalls and load balancers.
- Experience working in Agile teams/projects.
- Experience with management of domains – DNS, routing, etc.
Desirables
- Experience working with Python and SQL (creation and optimisation of code).
- Experience working with Jira software (e.g. Jira Administration, Confluence, ServiceDesk, OpsGenie).
This position will be home‑based indefinitely with very little travel, HR or training days only for example.
