Recruit UK are working on an excellent opportunity for a Training & Competency Manager in Manchester to join a well established Independent Financial Advice firm. They deal with high net worth private individuals and corporate clients. They are an award winning firm with decades of experience. They have professional relationships with solicitors, accountants and insurance brokers. They have a strong presence in the North West, offices in Manchester and are expanding their Independent Financial Advice services through growth.
You will be responsible for providing oversight and structure to the training and competence within the company. Adhering to FCA regulations, keeping up to date with legislation/compliance matters, TCF - Treating Customers Fairly, paying due regard to the interests of their clients. Developing and maintaining good working relationships with all staff and management in order to provide an efficient and effective service to their administrators, paraplanners, advisers and clients.

Skills and experience required:
- Training / development / coaching qualifications
- Training & Competency Experience within regulated Financial Advice company
- Ideally, Financial Advice Experience
- Ideally, Level 4 Diploma qualified
- Strong organizational skills
- High level of IT literacy and Microsoft Office packages in particular Excel
- High standard of communication skills including formal report writing
- Detailed knowledge of relevant FCA regulations in relation to T&C and SMCR
