An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Paraplanner to join a well-established and highly regarded independent financial advice firm with a strong regional presence across Leeds and Manchester. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong Paraplanner looking to join a growing Financial Planning team, supporting experienced Financial Planners and working across an established and increasingly complex client base.

The Role

  • Provide high-quality technical, research and analytical support to the Financial Planning team, helping to deliver a first-class service to clients.
  • Preparing suitability reports and client recommendations.
  • Conducting detailed research across investments, pensions, protection and wider financial planning.
  • Supporting Financial Planners with complex technical queries and client cases.
  • Preparing cash-flow analysis and financial planning reports.
  • Assisting with new business and ongoing client reviews.
  • Liaising with product providers and third parties.
  • Supporting the implementation of client recommendations.
  • Ensuring all work is accurate, compliant and completed within agreed timescales.
  • Keeping up to date with relevant legislation, regulation and industry developments.

About You

  • Level 4 Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning or equivalent.
  • 3+ years' experience working as a Paraplanner or above.
  • Strong technical knowledge across all areas of financial planning.
  • Experience supporting Advisers with complex and high-value client cases.
  • Excellent research, analytical and report-writing skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Good knowledge of current financial planning regulation, including Consumer Duty.
  • Experience using financial planning and research systems such as Intelligent Office, Voyant, FE Analytics or similar.
  • A collaborative and proactive approach.
  • A genuine interest in developing your technical knowledge and career within financial planning.
