Why You'll Love It:
Leadership opportunities don't usually come with a £5,000 sign-on bonus, fully funded diagnostic ultrasound training and a genuine roadmap to becoming a Clinic Principal. This one does. If you've reached the point where you're confident clinically and are beginning to wonder what's next, this role has been designed for ambitious Osteopaths who want more than simply another treatment room. Our client isn't expecting you to arrive already knowing everything about running a clinic. They're looking for an excellent Osteopath with strong clinical skills, plenty of ambition and the enthusiasm to grow into a leadership position. You will continue doing what you love clinically whilst developing new diagnostic skills, learning from experienced leaders and gradually stepping into a genuine Clinic Principal role with structured mentoring every step of the way. This is an employer investing heavily in the person they appoint because they're looking for someone who wants to build a long-term career, not simply fill a vacancy.
All About You:
We're looking for an Osteopath who combines excellent clinical care with a genuine passion for helping others succeed. You’ll ideally have:
- Current GOsC registration
- Around 3 to 6 years’ post-qualification clinical experience
- Strong manual therapy and clinical reasoning skills
- Confidence managing a broad range of musculoskeletal presentations independently
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- A collaborative approach to multidisciplinary working
- A genuine interest in mentoring, leadership and developing other clinicians
- A proactive, positive attitude and the ambition to help shape the future of the clinic
Previous mentoring, student supervision or leadership experience would certainly be advantageous, but it's your attitude, potential and desire to progress that matter most.
What Will You Be Doing?
You’ll continue delivering outstanding Osteopathic care whilst gradually developing the leadership skills needed to become a successful Clinic Principal. Your responsibilities will include:
- Assessing and treating a varied private musculoskeletal caseload
- Managing both straightforward and more complex MSK presentations through excellent assessment and clinical reasoning
- Creating personalised treatment and rehabilitation plans
- Working closely alongside Physiotherapists, Sports Therapists and other healthcare professionals within the multidisciplinary team
- Developing your diagnostic capabilities through fully funded musculoskeletal diagnostic ultrasound training
- Utilising advanced treatment technologies, including focused shockwave therapy where appropriate
- Participating in regular clinical discussions and in-house CPD
- Supporting junior clinicians through mentoring, case discussions and knowledge sharing
- Taking increasing responsibility for aspects of the clinic's daily operations as your leadership journey develops
- Helping maintain exceptional clinical standards and an outstanding patient experience
- Playing an active role in the continued growth and success of the clinic
As your confidence grows, you'll receive structured support to develop your skills in leadership, mentoring, operational management and clinic development.
Working Hours and Environment:
This is a full-time permanent employed role based within a modern, beautifully presented private clinic in the heart of Taunton. You’ll join a genuinely collaborative multidisciplinary team where ideas are welcomed, learning is encouraged and everyone shares the same goal of delivering exceptional patient care. The environment strikes an excellent balance between clinical autonomy and team support, allowing you to grow both as an Osteopath and as a future leader. Alongside your clinical sessions, you'll have dedicated time to develop the leadership skills needed to confidently progress into a Clinic Principal position.
Reaching Your Potential:
Our client genuinely believes that great leaders are developed, not simply hired. From your first day, you'll begin a structured leadership journey designed to prepare you for becoming a future Clinic Principal. Alongside regular mentoring, leadership coaching and access to an established network of experienced Clinic Principals, you’ll also receive fully funded training in Diagnostic Musculoskeletal Ultrasound, giving you an additional clinical skillset that very few employers currently offer. Combined with exposure to focused shockwave therapy, AI-supported clinical systems and injection therapy services delivered within the clinic, you'll be surrounded by clinicians who are passionate about modern, evidence-based musculoskeletal care. This isn't simply about your next job. It’s about investing in your next five to ten years as a clinician and future leader, with an organisation that's committed to helping ambitious Osteopaths reach their full potential.
