Some foot care opportunities hand you an empty diary and ask you to build your own patient list. This isn’t one of them. Our client has spent almost 15 years building an outstanding reputation within the local community. They are the only dedicated foot clinic in Sandy, with generations of loyal patients who keep coming back because they genuinely trust the care they receive. You will be walking into an established caseload from day one, allowing you to focus on what you do best - providing excellent patient care rather than worrying about filling your diary.
What we particularly like about this opportunity is its flexibility. If you are an experienced Foot Health Practitioner who loves delivering high-quality routine foot care, you will be made to feel just as welcome as an HCPC Registered Podiatrist. More complex cases can be referred internally, while you will have the opportunity to develop your skills over time with mentoring and practical support where appropriate.
There is another exciting element to this opportunity too. Whilst the immediate priority is finding the right clinician to join the team, our client is also thinking about the long-term future of the practice. For someone with ambitions beyond simply treating patients, there could be a genuine opportunity to explore taking over ownership of this successful business in the future. There is absolutely no expectation for this, but it is a rare opportunity that is available for the right person should your career aspirations align.
All About You:We are keen to hear from HCPC Registered Podiatrists or Experienced Foot Health Practitioners (FHPs) with a strong background in routine foot care. You will also ideally have:
- Experience delivering routine foot care independently
- Excellent communication and patient relationship skills
- A caring, friendly and professional approach
- Confidence managing your own clinic diary
- A genuine passion for providing exceptional patient care
- Pride in delivering consistently high clinical standards
- The desire to become part of a well-established independent practice
Whether you are newly qualified, highly experienced or somewhere in between, we would love to hear from you. Your percentage split will reflect your experience, confidence and clinical capability.
What Will You Be Doing? You will be taking over an established diary, providing high-quality foot care to a loyal patient base within a welcoming private clinic. The majority of your caseload will focus on routine foot care and general podiatry treatments, including:
- Routine foot care
- Nail cutting and nail care
- Corn and callus management
- Thickened nail management
- Fungal nail care
- Verruca treatment
- General foot health advice
Depending on your qualifications, experience and interests, there will also be opportunities to become involved in additional services including:
- Laser fungal nail treatment
- Clearanail fungal nail treatment
- Diabetic foot assessments
- Biomechanical assessments using the clinic treadmill
- Orthotic assessments and casting for custom orthotics
- Paediatric podiatry
The clinic also undertakes more complex procedures where appropriate. These are supported by an experienced clinician who works closely with the practice, allowing you to focus primarily on providing outstanding routine foot care while knowing additional expertise is available whenever needed. Where appropriate, mentoring and in-house training will also be provided to help you develop your skills in treatments that can safely be taught within the practice and fall within your professional scope.
Working Hours and Environment:This is a self-employed associate opportunity, initially offered on a part-time basis with genuine scope to increase your clinic days as patient demand continues to grow. The current business owner worked two full days and two half days which are already established. You will be working from a well-established private clinic in Sandy, Bedfordshire, supported by an experienced receptionist who manages appointments and patient enquiries, allowing you to focus on delivering excellent clinical care. The clinic has a friendly, welcoming atmosphere where patient relationships and quality of care are always the priority.
Reaching Your Potential:Our client has built a trusted reputation over almost 15 years by putting patients first, and they are committed to helping the right clinician grow alongside the practice. Whether you are looking to expand your clinical skills, learn additional treatments or simply establish yourself within a respected private practice, you will be supported every step of the way. You will have opportunities to gain experience in specialist services such as laser fungal nail treatment, Clearanail, biomechanics, orthotics and diabetic foot care, alongside mentoring from experienced clinicians where appropriate.
As Sandy continues to grow, so does the clinic’s patient demand, making this an exciting opportunity to establish a long-term career within a thriving independent practice. For the right person, there is also the potential to explore future ownership of the business. If you have ever dreamed of running your own successful private clinic but would rather step into an already established practice with an excellent reputation, loyal patient base and years of goodwill already behind it, this represents a genuinely unique long-term opportunity.
We will contact all shortlisted candidates. Please note that we retain the right to close the advert early if a suitable candidate is appointed.
