Job Type: Part time Locum (approximately 11.5 hours per week initially; 3-month initial assignment)

Qualifications:

  • Registered with the General Osteopathic Council (GOsC)
  • Degree or Master's qualification in Osteopathy
  • Excellent musculoskeletal assessment and diagnostic skills
  • Strong hands-on treatment and manual therapy skills
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Comfortable managing an independent caseload
  • Team-focused attitude and collaborative approach
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development
  • Clinical massage or sports massage skills welcomed but not essential
  • Private practice experience advantageous
  • We are happy to consider both experienced osteopaths and exceptional new graduates with the right attitude and team fit

What You Will Be Doing:

  • Assess, diagnose, and treat a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions within a busy private practice environment.
  • Comprehensive patient assessments and clinical examinations
  • Deliver osteopathic treatment using appropriate manual therapy techniques
  • Develop individualised treatment and rehabilitation plans
  • Prescribe and progress exercise programmes where appropriate
  • Educate patients on recovery, injury prevention and self-management
  • Maintain accurate clinical records
  • Communicate effectively with patients, colleagues and referrers
  • Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
  • Build and maintain a successful private practice caseload

Working Hours and Environment:

This role is based around two established clinic sessions:

  • Tuesday: 2:30pm-8:00pm
  • Friday: 8:00am-2:00pm

Additional sessions may become available in the future for the right candidate as the caseload grows.

Career Pathway:

You will initially join the clinic on a three-month locum basis, paid at the advertised hourly rate. After a successful locum period, you may transition into a long-term self-employed associate position, moving from hourly locum rate to the clinic's associate fee-share model.
