  • Why You'll Love It

Let's be honest...

There are plenty of podiatry jobs where your diary is packed with routine appointments, you're constantly watching the clock and your development stalls after a couple of years.

This isn't one of them.

Our client has built a modern independent clinic where podiatrists are encouraged to become the very best clinicians they can be.

They're not looking for the finished article.

Instead, they're looking for someone with solid clinical foundations, the right attitude and a genuine desire to keep learning.

In return, they'll invest heavily in your future and open doors that many podiatrists simply don't get the opportunity to walk through.

You’ll work alongside an experienced clinician with advanced expertise in MSK podiatry, biomechanics, gait analysis and diagnostic ultrasound, learning skills that many clinicians spend years trying to gain exposure to.

What really stood out to us after meeting our client was their attitude.

There was no talk of simply filling a vacancy.

Their ambition is to bring in a great podiatrist, support them properly, invest in them and help them become one of the clinic’s future Senior Practitioners.

How many employers genuinely say that?

It's refreshing to meet someone who wants to help their team become the very best clinicians they can be, rather than simply expecting them to arrive with every skill already mastered.

Then there’s the lifestyle.

Imagine finishing work and within minutes being surrounded by mountains, forests, lochs and some of the UK's most spectacular scenery.

Whether you enjoy hiking, running, cycling, paddleboarding, skiing or simply want a better work-life balance, Inverness offers an incredible place to build both your career and your life.

All About You

We're looking for someone who wants more than simply turning up, treating patients and going home.

You’ll ideally have

  • HCPC Registration as a Podiatrist (or be eligible to obtain HCPC registration)
  • At least two years' post-registration experience
  • Excellent communication and patient care skills
  • A genuine interest in MSK podiatry and biomechanics
  • A passion for continual learning and professional development
  • A friendly, approachable personality
  • A collaborative attitude
  • Pride in delivering outstanding patient care
  • Eligibility to work in the UK, or the ability to meet Skilled Worker sponsorship requirements

Experience within any of the following would be advantageous, but certainly isn’t essential:

  • MSK Podiatry
  • Sports Podiatry
  • Biomechanics
  • Orthotic therapy
  • Foot and ankle rehabilitation
  • Nail surgery
  • Diagnostic MSK ultrasound
  • Shockwave therapy
  • Private practice

Most importantly...

We're looking for someone who is curious, motivated and excited by the opportunity to become an even better clinician.

Who Is This Role Perfect For?

This could be exactly what you’re looking for if...

  • You've stopped learning in your current role.
  • You enjoy MSK but don’t get enough exposure.
  • You've always wanted to learn diagnostic ultrasound.
  • You enjoy biomechanics and rehabilitation.
  • You're tired of rushing through appointments.
  • You’d like more clinical freedom and autonomy.
  • You want to become a genuine specialist rather than remain in routine practice forever.
  • You're looking for somewhere you can settle, grow and build a long-term career.

What Will You Be Doing?

You’ll manage a varied private podiatry caseload including

  • General podiatry
  • Nail and skin care
  • Corn and callus treatment
  • Verruca management
  • Ingrowing toenail treatment
  • Nail surgery
  • Foot and ankle pain
  • MSK podiatry
  • Sports injuries
  • Foot and ankle rehabilitation
  • Orthotic assessment and prescription
  • Shockwave therapy
  • Gait assessment and retraining

As your experience develops, so will your exposure to increasingly advanced clinical work.

Patients are given the time they deserve, allowing you to properly assess, educate and treat rather than simply moving from one appointment to the next.

Working Hours and Environment

This is a full-time employed position, although flexibility is something our client genuinely believes in.

Ideally, they'd love someone to join around the beginning of 2027 , allowing for a smooth transition before their current locum placement comes to an end.

However, they completely appreciate that everyone's circumstances are different.

Whether you're available a little earlier or need a little longer because of notice periods, relocation or personal commitments, they’re happy to explore what works for the right person.

Finding the right clinician is far more important than forcing a rigid start date.

Typical clinic hours are

  • Monday to Friday: approximately 8:30am / 9:00am until 5:00pm / 5:30pm
  • Around one Saturday morning per month
  • No routine evening clinics

The clinic is centrally located in Inverness with excellent reception support, modern facilities and advanced technology throughout.

Driving isn't essential.

Reaching Your Potential

This is where this opportunity really stands apart.

Our client has invested heavily in creating a clinic where clinicians can continually develop throughout their careers rather than feeling like they’ve reached a ceiling after a few years.

You’ll have access to technology including

  • Run3D gait analysis
  • Diagnostic MSK ultrasound
  • Shockwave therapy
  • Advanced rehabilitation equipment
  • Orthotic assessment technology
  • Alongside this, you’ll receive mentoring and support to develop skills in areas such as:
  • Advanced MSK podiatry
  • Sports medicine
  • Foot and ankle rehabilitation
  • Diagnostic MSK ultrasound
  • Biomechanics
  • Injection therapy
  • Independent Prescribing
  • Podiatric Minor Skin Surgery

This isn't simply about attending the odd CPD course.

It’s about building a structured pathway towards becoming one of the clinic’s future Senior Practitioners.

As the business continues to grow, you’ll also have the opportunity to play a key role in shaping the future of the clinic, with exciting expansion plans already being explored.

Relocating to Inverness

Moving to the Scottish Highlands is a big decision, and our client completely understands that because they've been through that journey themselves.

Relocation has been one of the biggest challenges when recruiting previously, so they’re committed to helping the right person settle into the area.

Support towards initial accommodation costs is available, along with practical advice and local knowledge to help make your move as smooth as possible.

If you’ve ever dreamed about swapping busy commutes, expensive city living and crowded weekends for mountains, beaches, forests and an outstanding work-life balance, this could genuinely be the opportunity you’ve been waiting for.

Employment offers will be subject to satisfactory pre-employment checks.

Our client is committed to creating a diverse and inclusive workplace and welcomes applications from suitably qualified candidates, including exceptional international podiatrists who may require Skilled Worker sponsorship.
