Known locally for their expertise in biomechanics, gait analysis and lower limb injury management, the clinic combines advanced diagnostic technology with a collaborative team environment. You will be working alongside podiatrists, physiotherapists and other clinicians who share knowledge, discuss cases and work together to deliver high-quality outcomes for patients. Our client receives referrals from GPs, sports clubs and other healthcare professionals across Somerset, creating a consistently varied and interesting caseload. This role is ideal for a podiatrist who enjoys understanding the root cause of lower limb problems, not just treating the symptoms. With the time, tools and clinical support available, you will be able to properly assess, diagnose and treat a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions. This opportunity is ideal for an MSK Podiatrist looking to further develop their expertise within a technology-driven multidisciplinary clinic.

All About You

  • HCPC registered Podiatrist
  • Minimum 2 years post-qualification clinical experience
  • Experience or strong interest in musculoskeletal podiatry and biomechanics
  • Confident managing a varied patient caseload within private practice
  • Strong communication skills and a patient-centred approach
  • Keen to continue developing clinical expertise and specialist skills
  • Comfortable working within a multidisciplinary team

This role is ideally suited to a podiatrist who already has a solid clinical foundation and is looking to further develop their expertise within an advanced MSK-focused clinic.

What Will You Be Doing?

  • Assessing, diagnosing and treating a wide range of lower limb and musculoskeletal conditions
  • Carrying out biomechanical assessments and gait analysis
  • Utilising advanced treatment technologies such as Ultrasound Imaging, Shockwave Therapy and Laser Therapy
  • Prescribing and designing orthotic interventions
  • Managing your own patient caseload within a busy private clinic
  • Working collaboratively with physiotherapists and other clinicians to deliver comprehensive treatment plans

Typical caseload includes plantar heel pain, sports injuries, tendon pathologies, biomechanical dysfunction, orthotic management and gait-related conditions.

Working Hours and Environment

This role is offered on a full-time basis, although part-time arrangements will also be considered. You will be working within a modern, purpose-built multidisciplinary clinic featuring multiple treatment rooms, a dedicated gait lab, orthotics workshop and rehabilitation facilities. The clinic is located approximately eight minutes’ walk from Taunton train station and is well connected by local transport routes.

Reaching Your Potential

Our client places genuine emphasis on clinical development and career progression. Clinicians are supported to pursue further qualifications and specialist training, including Postgraduate Certificates and Master’s programmes, with financial backing available. Working within a technology-driven MSK environment alongside experienced clinicians allows you to develop advanced expertise in biomechanics, gait analysis and lower limb injury management, while continuing to expand your clinical skillset.

If you're a podiatrist with strong MSK interest and at least two years of clinical experience, this could be a fantastic opportunity to develop your skills within one of the region’s most advanced podiatry clinics.
