About the Role

This is a genuinely varied role covering the full breadth of modern podiatric practice. You will assess, diagnose, and treat a wide range of presentations, from running injuries and biomechanical dysfunction through to nail surgery, verruca treatments, and routine podiatric care. The clinic places a strong emphasis on evidence-based practice and utilises advanced technology to support clinical decision-making and optimise patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess and manage a varied podiatry caseload
  • Diagnose and treat musculoskeletal and biomechanical conditions
  • Conduct gait analysis and biomechanical assessments
  • Prescribe and manage orthotic interventions
  • Deliver rehabilitation and exercise-based treatment programmes
  • Manage nail conditions conservatively and surgically where appropriate
  • Deliver verruca treatments and associated interventions
  • Provide routine podiatric care as part of a balanced caseload
  • Maintain accurate and professional clinical records
  • Participate in CPD and service development initiatives
  • Contribute positively to the clinic culture and patient experience

About You

To be considered for this role, you will have:

  • HCPC registration as a Podiatrist
  • A degree in Podiatry
  • A minimum of 3 years' post-graduate experience
  • Experience managing musculoskeletal and biomechanical presentations
  • Confidence conducting gait assessments and prescribing orthotic interventions
  • Strong communication and patient engagement skills
  • A proactive and collaborative approach to practice
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and evidence-based care

The following would be advantageous but are not essential:

  • Nail surgery experience
  • Swift verruca treatment experience
  • Shockwave therapy experience
  • Injection therapy experience
  • Experience using advanced gait analysis technology

The Pathway

This opportunity begins as a 3-month locum assignment, allowing both you and the clinic to ensure the role is the right fit. Successful clinicians will then have the opportunity to transition into a long-term self-employed associate position within the practice. This provides an excellent opportunity to establish and grow your own caseload whilst becoming part of a thriving and expanding private practice.
