Womenswear Designer Wanted

North London | Office Based

Salary to £220 a day

I am working on behalf of a well‑established, design‑lead, womenswear manufacturer who are looking to recruit a talented Womenswear Designer to join their close‑knit and very successful design team but in the interim would be looking for a freelance designer to support.

The Role

  • Designing women’s woven and jersey collections for a range of UK and European high‑street retailers
  • Conducting trend research across catwalks, retail stores and online platforms
  • Working closely with the technical team and company directors to deliver commercial, on‑trend ranges

The Candidate, what you need to be shortlisted

  • Proven and recent experience as a womenswear designer within a UK womenswear supplier, UK manufacturer or UK high street retailer
  • Strong recent background designing both woven and jersey product (separates, tops / bottoms, dresses, etc.)
  • Strong trend awareness with a commercial eye for the high street
  • Able to work collaboratively within a small design team
  • Organised, proactive and able to manage multiple accounts
  • London based or commutable and eligible to work in the UK
