The Role
- Drafting and negotiating construction and project documentation
- Advising on procurement strategies and contractual structures
- Working with JCT and NEC contracts across complex developments
- Supporting major residential and mixed‑use projects
- Advising on development agreements, consultant appointments, collateral warranties, bonds and guarantees
- Mentoring junior lawyers and contributing to client training, webinars and thought leadership
About You
- 4+ years’ PQE in non‑contentious construction law
- Strong experience drafting and negotiating construction contracts
- Excellent technical and commercial awareness
- Confidence dealing directly with clients and managing transactions independently
- A collaborative mindset and enthusiasm for networking and business development
- Solid knowledge of JCT contracts (NEC experience advantageous)
- Experience in the social housing sector, building safety, procurement or large‑scale residential development is welcomed but not essential
