Our client is a highly successful global fashion business with an impressive international presence and a portfolio of well-known brands. Following continued growth across digital channels, they are looking to appoint an experienced E-commerce & Marketplace Manager to join their Manchester city centre team.

This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially driven digital professional who thrives on driving online performance, growing marketplace sales, and delivering an exceptional customer journey across multiple territories.

The Role

Reporting into the senior leadership team, you will take ownership of the company's e-commerce and marketplace strategy, ensuring all online channels are optimised to maximise sales, profitability, and customer engagement.

With the small team in Manchester (although business has offices globally) You'll be responsible for managing relationships with key marketplace partners while working cross-functionally with marketing, merchandising, operations, and product teams to deliver ambitious growth plans.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the e-commerce and marketplace growth strategy.
  • Manage and optimise performance across key marketplace accounts including Next, Zalando, ASOS, M&S and other strategic partners.
  • Monitor and analyse website and marketplace trading performance, identifying opportunities to improve conversion, revenue, and profitability.
  • Own promotional and trading calendars across all digital sales channels.
  • Ensure product listings, content, imagery, pricing, and stock availability are fully optimised.
  • Work closely with digital marketing teams to drive traffic, acquisition, and customer retention.
  • Produce regular performance reporting and present insights and recommendations to senior stakeholders.
  • Manage marketplace relationships and negotiate opportunities to increase brand visibility and sales.
  • Support forecasting, stock planning, and inventory management alongside merchandising and supply chain teams.
  • Keep abreast of market trends, competitor activity, and emerging opportunities within the digital retail landscape.

About You ( Experience needed to be shortlisted )

  • Previous and recent experience in a fashion business as a E-commerce Manager, Marketplace Manager, Digital Trading Manager, or similar role .
  • Strong understanding of online retail, marketplaces, and digital trading.
  • Experience within fashion, retail, lifestyle, or consumer goods sectors.
  • Commercially minded with strong analytical skills.
  • Proven track record of driving online sales growth.
  • Comfortable working with data, reporting tools, and website analytics platforms.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Highly organised, proactive, and results driven.
  • Commutable to Manchester and eligible to work in the UK
