Salary Range: $86,600 - $124,725 pending experience + Super + Middle Leader Allowance (Tier 2 = $16,280; Tier 3 = $19,535)
These are full-time, permanent teaching roles with a fixed-term appointment to the Curriculum Leader position concluding in 2030.
Role purpose
The Curriculum Leader supports the mission of Mary Help of Christians Catholic College through leadership of the learning and teaching program. The role ensures that appropriate pedagogies are developed and implemented at all levels. Successful applicants will demonstrate leadership in three dimensions: teaching and learning, human leadership and strategic leadership.
Responsibilities
- Provide leadership for teaching and learning across the curriculum, ensuring high-quality pedagogy and student outcomes.
- Lead, mentor and develop teaching staff; build collaborative teams and translate data into meaningful improvements.
- Model and promote a Catholic ethos, integrity, and inclusive, supportive environments for students and staff.
- Contribute to curriculum planning, assessment practices and alignment with the Australian Curriculum and QCAA requirements.
- Collaborate with leaders to implement school improvement initiatives and monitor progress against targets.
Qualifications and requirements
- Registered teacher with the Queensland College of Teachers.
- Extensive classroom experience in the Arts.
- Deep understanding of the Australian Curriculum and QCAA requirements.
- Proven ability to lead and mentor others, build collaborative teams and translate data into improvement.
- Commitment to Catholic values and staff/student wellbeing.
