About The Opportunity

The primary purpose of this position is to oversee business operations, drive strategic growth, and lead operational performance across the organisation.

  • Leading operational, financial, and strategic performance across the business
  • Managing and mentoring department managers and leadership teams
  • Overseeing project performance, workforce utilisation, and operational efficiency
  • Driving profitability through budgeting, forecasting, and financial management
  • Maintaining strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and stakeholders
  • Ensuring compliance across WHS, environmental, and quality systems
  • Implementing systems, process improvements, and organisational initiatives
  • Supporting business development and identifying new market opportunities
  • Providing regular operational and performance reporting to the Managing Director

About You

  • Minimum 5-10 years of leadership experience within civil construction or infrastructure sectors
  • Strong operational and project management background
  • High-level commercial and financial management capability
  • Proven ability to lead teams and improve organisational performance
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
  • Strategic mindset with hands-on leadership capability
  • Experience scaling business operations or teams (highly regarded)
  • Relevant qualifications in Construction, Engineering, Business, or similar (preferred)
