About The Company

Our client is a well-established provider of professional Public Address Voice Alarm (PAVA) and audio-visual (AV) solutions, supporting a wide range of public sector commercial customers. These systems include mission critical public infrastructure sites throughout NZ: think airports, railway stations, stadiums, and government facilities. As their business continues to expand, they are now seeking a skilled AV Technician to join their dedicated operations team.

About The Opportunity

The primary purpose of this position is to install, program, test, maintain and repair new and existing AV systems while ensuring all work meets company standards for safety, quality and customer satisfaction. Some of your responsibilities will include:

  • Installing and commissioning commercial AV systems
  • Programming and testing AV equipment to ensure correct functionality
  • Servicing and repairing existing AV systems onsite
  • Demonstrating AV systems to customers following installation
  • Completing job sheets, timesheets, checklists and documentation accurately and on time
  • Maintaining a high level of professionalism and personal presentation
  • Handling customer questions or complaints professionally and escalating where required
  • Supporting team members and collaborating across functions when needed
  • Meeting daily, weekly and monthly performance targets
  • Following all safety procedures and reporting hazards or issues promptly

About You

The successful candidate will have:

  • Technical experience in AV installation, programming, testing, repair and maintenance
  • Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to resolve issues efficiently onsite
  • Ability to work independently, prioritise tasks and make sound decisions
  • Strong planning and organisational skills to manage workload effectively
  • High level of computer literacy, including Microsoft Office
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Commitment to safe work practices and adherence to company procedures
  • A positive, professional attitude and the ability to work well within a team environment
