Seeking an organised and experienced transport planner/transport operator.
As a Transport Operator, you'll play a key role in ensuring our transport operation runs smoothly and efficiently. You'll be responsible for planning driver routes, building loads and coordinating resources to ensure collections and deliveries are completed safely, cost-effectively and on time.
Working closely with drivers, customers, subcontractors and internal teams, you'll monitor transport plans, communicate updates and resolve any issues that may impact service delivery. You'll also ensure company systems and transport documentation are maintained accurately and support wider transport and customer service functions when required.
What You'll Need
Experience working within a transport, logistics or customer-focused office environment
Good knowledge of transport regulations and health & safety requirements
Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office packages
Excellent communication, organisation and planning skills
Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing priorities
Available Shift Patterns
Monday to Friday, 08:00 - 17:30 (maternity cover - 11 months fixed term contract)
