Great opportunity for someone with stores control experience. A small stores area holding a wide variety of stock. They are seeking someone to make the Stores person role their own starting from re-organising of the area, cataloging goods already in stock with a view to a new goods in systems being put in place. This person will take responsibility for stores, stock, deliveries and installation materials. This role requires someone with an understanding of electrical elements either from a stores perspective, manufacturing or retail. The role Monday to Friday 9am - 5pm You will take ownership of the stores area and materials operation, ensuring that equipment and components are accurately recorded, safely stored and readily available when required. Your responsibilities will include: Maintaining an accurate stock and inventory system. Receiving, checking and organising supplier deliveries. Picking and preparing materials for upcoming solar installations from Bills of Materials (BOMs). Maintaining stock levels and good upkeep of our vans. Ensuring installation teams have the correct equipment and components for each job. Managing stock movements and allocating materials to individual projects. Monitoring stock levels and highlighting purchasing requirements. Safely operating our diesel forklift for loading, unloading and movement of materials Maintaining a clean, safe and efficient stores and working environment. Working closely with our office, design and installation teams to ensure materials are available when needed. Helping develop and improve our stock, logistics and materials processes as the business grows. We are looking for someone who is technically minded, learns quickly and takes pride in doing things properly. You will ideally have: Experience in an electrical, construction, trade counter, stores or a similar technical environment. An understanding of electrical, construction or technical equipment and components. Good organisational skills and attention to detail. Confidence using a computer, spreadsheets and/or stock management systems. The ability to work independently and take ownership of your responsibilities. Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively with different teams. A practical approach to solving problems and improving the way things are done. The physical capability required for a hands-on stores and logistics role. Forklift experience, ideally with a diesel counterbalance forklift, although the right candidate may be considered for training. TPBN1_UKTJ
