We are recruiting for an Accounts Assistant who has experience of Accounts Payable and Purchase Ledger Role Overview We are currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to join our busy finance team This is a hands-on role where you will support the finance department across various daily functions, ensuring accuracy and efficiency within the ledger and banking processes. Key Responsibilities Accounts Payable & Purchase Ledger: * Processing high volumes of purchase invoices accurately and matching them with purchase orders and delivery notes. Assisting with day-to-day purchase ledger duties. Banking: * Daily bank reconciliations across multiple currency and bank accounts. Posting cash receipts and allocating payments correctly. Month-End Support: * Assisting the finance team with month-end closing procedures. Performing prepayments, accruals, and ledger maintenance tasks as required. General Finance Duties: * Providing general administrative support to the finance department and handling internal and external finance-related queries. Person Specification Experience: Previous experience working in a busy finance or accounts department (specifically with purchase ledger and banking experience) is essential. Skills: * Strong numerical skills with a high level of attention to detail and accuracy. Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and accounting software packages. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Attributes: * Ability to work well under pressure, manage time effectively, and meet strict deadlines.
