Operations Manager required for a construction and installations company. Small but highly successful business seeking someone to support the MD on an operational basis.

Responsibilities include:

  • Managing a team of 20 and daily operations of the company.
  • Strengthening the operational performance of the company.
  • Bringing structure and clarity to company operations.
  • Following processes and supporting the team to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time and to specification.
  • Setting clear operational standards and ensuring consistent execution.
  • Driving improvements in productivity, cost control, quality assurance and programme delivery.
  • Owning and delivering operational KPIs.
  • Working closely with Directors to align operational and financial objectives.
  • Overseeing labour planning, plant allocation and materials coordination.
  • Managing supplier performance and subcontractor standards.
  • Ensuring full compliance with Health & Safety legislation and company policies.
  • Overseeing transport, fleet coordination and plant logistics to ensure efficiency and regulatory compliance.
  • Prioritising workloads and coordinating projects.
  • Delivering efficient operations while effectively managing the team of engineers.
  • Ensuring the business meets client needs and successfully fulfilling works orders.
  • Issuing quotations and dealing with customer queries.
  • Updating systems and amending spreadsheets.
  • Analysing current ways of working to drive continuous improvement.
