Financial Controller / Bookkeeper required for a successful growing business. This is an office based Monday to Friday where you will play an important part of the financial success of the company. Working in a friendly down to earth environment, the Financial Controller/Bookkeeper will require the following: Sage Accounting system: Sage One cloud (essential) Excel spreadsheets: intermediate experience essential, advanced experience desirable Invoice discounting facility Duties will include: Payroll, including statutory payments (PAYE, VAT) and CIS Nominal ledger journals Cash flow planning, monitoring and control Budgeting and cash forecasting Preparation of monthly management accounts AAT or CIMA qualification (preferred) Sales Ledger Raising sales invoices Posting invoices and customer receipts to the sales ledger Credit control: chasing overdue debts Issuing customer statements Daily reconciliation of the sales ledger control account to the invoice discounting facility Purchase Ledger Posting purchase ledger invoices Reconciling supplier statements Making payments to suppliers Bank accounts Posting all banking entries, including credit card entries Bank reconciliations on the current account, the invoice discounting facility account and credit card accounts Payroll Weekly payroll using Sage Payroll software for 28 staff members Statutory payments and returns: PAYE, VAT CIS reclaim Nominal ledger and month end reporting Nominal ledger journal posting as required General ledger reconciliations Balance sheet reconciliation, at minimum quarterly Preparation of monthly management accounts and financial reports Support Management information pack delivery within 7 working days of month end. Requires the underlying Sage data to be correct: sales and purchase invoices applied to the right period, accruals and prepayments posted, stock and WIP updated.
