This role is full time home based. Well established Association seeking an Assessment Manager to join their Training team. You will lead the delivery of high-quality assessment and internal quality assurance activities, ensuring compliance with internal policies, processes and external awarding organisation standards.
You will manage and support the Assessor and IQA team, oversee the IQA strategy across qualification pathways, and monitor assessment practices to maintain consistent, fair and reliable decisions. Acting as Lead IQA, you will observe assessor practice, provide constructive feedback to drive continuous improvement, and coordinate assessment and quality assurance activities to uphold the highest standards.
- Lead and line manage the Assessor and IQA team, ensuring the high-quality delivery of assessment and internal quality assurance activities.
- Ensure assessment practices comply with internal policies, awarding organisation requirements and external quality assurance (EQA) standards.
- Plan and oversee assessment and IQA activities, including sampling, auditing and monitoring assessment decisions to ensure consistency and reliability.
- Lead standardisation activities to support the consistent interpretation and application of qualification standards across assessors, IQAs and trainers.
- Monitor team performance against KPIs and provide mentoring, coaching and constructive feedback to support continuous improvement.
- Work collaboratively with internal teams and awarding organisations to develop high-quality assessment materials and support qualification delivery and EQA activity.
- Represent the organisation with customers, stakeholders and at external meetings, while maintaining professional and industry knowledge through ongoing CPD.
Level 3 qualification in Teaching and Learning
Level 3 qualification in Assessing
Level 4 Internal Quality Assurance or equivalent
Minimum 8 years experience in Fire Safety
