The role offers structured manufacturer training, exposure to advanced machinery, and optional international travel for further development.\\n \\nJob Responsibilities\\n\\nInstall high-precision CNC and metal-cutting machinery across Southern Ireland, Northern Ireland, the North of England, and Scotland\\nCarry out planned and reactive service work on mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems\\nDiagnose faults and complete on-site repairs in line with manufacturer specifications\\nCommission new machinery and complete full customer handovers\\nOrder replacement parts and manage repairs using technical documentation\\nProvide operator and basic maintenance training following installations\\nMaintain accurate service reports, job records, and machine histories\\nPlan and manage your own workload while travelling extensively between sites\\nLiaise with the Service Manager on job progress, parts availability, and technical issues\\nAttend technical and product training courses as required\\nUndertake international travel for specialist installations or training when needed \\nSkills and Experience\\n\\nPrevious experience working as a Field Service Engineer on high-precision machinery\\nStrong background in CNC lathes, metal-cutting machinery, or similar equipment\\nProven mechanical and electrical fault-finding capability\\nExperience working with PLC systems and ladder logic\\nConfident reading and interpreting schematics and technical drawings\\nComfortable with extensive travel and regular overnight stays\\nAble to work independently and manage time effectively while on the road \\nPay and Benefits\\n\\nSalary up to £35,000\\nOTE £48,000+ with bonus potential\\nMonday to Friday working pattern\\nExtensive travel across Southern Ireland, Northern Ireland, North of England, and Scotland\\nCompany car provided (BMW 330e or similar)\\nAnnual company performance bonus\\nMonthly bonus linked to machinery sales\\nPension contribution matched up to 6%\\n22 days holiday plus bank holidays \\nThis Field Service Engineer role is ideal for engineers who actively want a travelling role and enjoy variety, independence, and technical challenge.
