Force Medical Advisor, Sheffield, 12 month contract, Part time (22.5 hours), £170k pro rata Ref: OH171 We are working with South Yorkshire Police to source an experienced Occupational Health Physician as a Force Medical Advisor for their in-house Occupational Health service. This is a part-time hybrid role working both on site with the Wellbeing Team in Sheffield and from home. There is room to apply some flexibility to this role in terms of remote and onsite working and hours and we want to hear from any individual that is interested. The FMA will be the point of escalation for medical cases, issues, and advice within the department, but also deliver medicals and assessments (as appropriate) for pre-employment, attendance management, fitness for work, ill health retirement, file preparation for SMP services and any other complex medical assessments. Key Responsibilities: Pre-employment medical assessments of police recruits and police staff applicants. Medical assessments on eligibility to join the police pension fund. Medical assessments to ascertain fitness for specialist roles involving firearms officers, advanced driving, armed response vehicle operators, HGV, airside driving etc.
