The Role
- You’ll receive comprehensive training to transition into an applications-focused position, using your hands-on machining expertise to support customers and internal teams.
- Expect a varied and engaging workload - from live cutting trials and demonstrations to training sessions, process optimisation, and technical problem-solving on some of the most advanced turning machines available.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical support and machining expertise to customers and internal teams.
- Plan and deliver cutting trials, demonstrations, and technical presentations.
- Conduct customer training sessions and represent the company at UK and international exhibitions.
- Showcase CNC control systems and CAM software capabilities.
- Respond to technical queries and deliver on-site support where required.
- Work closely with the sales and engineering teams to ensure smooth project handovers.
- Stay current with the latest machining methods, tooling technologies, and measurement systems.
About You
- Essential: Strong background in CNC mill/turn programming and setting.
- Experience within a subcontract machining or precision engineering environment.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Completed a Level 3 Engineering Apprenticeship (or equivalent).
- Desirable: HNC/HND in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering.
What’s on Offer
- £36,000 – £42,000 basic salary (depending on experience).
- Door-to-door pay with an OTE of around £50,000.
- 25 days holiday plus bank holidays.
- 8% employer pension contribution.
- Private medical cover, life assurance (4x salary), and sick pay scheme.
- Paid overtime with enhanced weekday, weekend, and Sunday rates.
- Free parking, uniform provided, and a subsidised canteen.
- Standard hours: Monday to Friday, 08:15-16:30.
