Steam Trap Survey Engineer £34,000–£40,000 DOE + Bonus | Company Vehicle | 25 Days Holiday + Bank Holidays | Pension + Insurance Benefits An established manufacturer of valves and steam system solutions is seeking a Field-Based Steam Trap Survey Engineer. The successful candidate will carry out on-site inspections of steam traps across industrial facilities, assess performance using ultrasonic equipment, and provide recommendations to improve system efficiency and reduce steam losses. Key Responsibilities: * Conduct performance testing of steam traps using ultrasonic tools * Record and analyse system data (trap type, size, condition, performance, etc.) * Identify installation issues or inefficiencies in steam systems * Recommend maintenance actions and energy-saving improvements * Liaise with clients and provide clear technical advice Requirements: * Experience with steam systems or industrial maintenance preferred * Strong understanding of steam trap function and diagnostics * Confident working independently and communicating with clients * Full UK driving licence essential Package Includes: * £34,000–£40,000 salary (depending on experience) * Bonus scheme * Company car or van * Laptop and mobile phone * Technical training and development * Private medical and life insurance * Company pension * 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays By applying for this position, you consent to Recruit Engineering processing and storing your personal data, including your CV, contact details, and any other relevant information, for the purpose of providing work-finding services.
