We are recruiting an experienced Paint Sprayer for a globally recognised aerospace manufacturer in Denham. You will be applying precision coatings to aviation safety components - this is industrial manufacturing spray work, not automotive body repair.
What you will be doing:
- Applying primers, topcoats, lacquers, and specialist coatings (including dry film lubricants) to engineering components using spray guns
- Working to technical specifications and engineering drawings
- Masking components using tapes, plugs, and bungs to precise requirements
- Setting and operating curing ovens to specified temperatures and durations
- Inspecting finished work - visual checks plus measuring paint thickness and gloss levels
- Unmasking and touching up components as required
- Maintaining spray booth equipment, pumps, and machinery
- Managing stock levels on SAP and ensuring batch traceability
What you need:
- Proven spray painting experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment (not automotive body shop)
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
- Good manual dexterity and attention to detail
- Understanding of H&S procedures and COSHH regulations
- Basic IT skills and competency with hand tools
- Flexibility to work double day shifts
- GCSEs (A-C) in Maths and English
What’s on offer:
- £35,500 base salary + 22.5% shift allowance (total package £43,490)
- £3,000 signing bonus (paid in first year)
- Double day shifts: Earlies 06:00-14:00 Mon-Thu / 06:00-12:00 Fri, Afters 13:45-22:00 Mon-Thu / 11:45-15:00 Fri
