The role
You’ll be responsible for operating waterjet machinery to cut a range of materials in line with technical drawings and production requirements. The work is quality-focused and requires good attention to detail, particularly where components feed into downstream assembly.
Key responsibilities include:
- Operating waterjet cutting machinery to produce components to specification
- Setting up jobs in line with drawings, work instructions and material requirements
- Loading and unloading materials safely
- Inspecting finished components to ensure accuracy and quality standards are met
- Carrying out basic machine maintenance and housekeeping
- Working closely with production and engineering teams to maintain workflow
- Following health and safety procedures at all times
