A leading manufacturer of military vehicle systems and deployable defence equipment is seeking an experienced NDT Technician to join their engineering centre of excellence in the Northwest.
Requirements:
- PCN Level 2 in RT (essential); VT, MT, and PT qualifications desirable
- Strong understanding of engineering drawings and inspection instruments
- NDT experience in a manufacturing/engineering environment (e.g. defence, aerospace, oil & gas, nuclear, motorsport)
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement principles
The Role:
Responsible for RT, VT, MT, and PT inspections on fabricated components throughout the production process. This quality-focused role includes equipment calibration, defect investigation, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform NDT (RT, VT, MT, PT) on components and assemblies
- Interpret drawings, procedures, and technical documentation
- Set up and calibrate inspection equipment
- Record results, raise non-conformance reports, and support root cause analysis
- Maintain compliance with quality standards and document control processes
