The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Manufacturing Process Engineer to join a market-leading engineering company, known for delivering complex fabrications and advanced engineering solutions. This role will play a key part in optimising manufacturing processes and driving improvements across quality, efficiency, and overall production performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Support and refine manufacturing processes for large, complex fabrications.
- Identify areas for improvement, focusing on cycle time reduction, error-proofing, and fixture/tooling design.
- Analyse quality data to develop and implement effective improvement action plans.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement with a strong focus on customer satisfaction and lean manufacturing.
- Coordinate cross-functional efforts to reduce waste and improve cost efficiency.
- Lead problem-solving and process improvement activities using structured methodologies (e.g. 8D).
- Contribute to new product development by assessing and advising on manufacturability.
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, environmental, and quality standards.
- Drive corrective actions to resolve manufacturing quality issues.
