Internal Sales Engineer – Valves & Steam Systems Tewkesbury | £28,000 – £38,000 DOE | Engineering / Technical Sales A well-established UK subsidiary of a German engineering group is seeking an Internal Sales Engineer to join its Tewkesbury-based team. The company manufactures and supplies an extensive range of industrial valves and pipeline equipment for steam, hot water, and thermal oil systems. This is a key role supporting the day-to-day operation of a busy technical sales office. The successful candidate will work closely with customers, the external sales team, and the parent company in Germany to deliver technical quotations, process sales orders, and provide aftersales support. Key Responsibilities: Handling inbound technical and commercial enquiries Preparing quotations and building cost estimates in collaboration with suppliers and the parent company Processing and expediting customer orders Providing technical advice and troubleshooting support Supporting external sales activities and liaising with engineering teams Using ERP and CRM systems for quoting, order processing, and customer communication Assisting with general office duties when required Candidate Requirements: Strong mechanical aptitude with previous experience in internal sales, applications, or technical support A background in valves, steam systems, or pipeline equipment is highly desirable Excellent telephone manner and a customer-first approach Computer literate with experience using ERP/CRM systems and Microsoft Office; AutoCAD knowledge would be advantageous but is not essential Comfortable working independently and collaboratively within a dynamic team Qualifications: An engineering qualification or technical background is advantageous, though relevant sales and product experience will also be considered.
