We are recruiting Metal Finishing Operatives for a globally recognised aerospace manufacturer in Denham. You will specialise in either anodising or rumbling processes, with cross-training provided across the finishing department to support wider operations.
What you’ll be doing:
- Anodising: Operating anodising finishing equipment on manual and automated lines, preparing components through masking, jigging, and bunging techniques, inspecting finished parts to quality standards, working with process chemicals to precise specifications.
- Rumbling (Vibratory Finishing): Operating barrel tumbling and vibratory finishing machinery, preparing metallic surfaces for anodising and passivation processes, masking components to protect critical features (bores, holes, slots), deburring and surface preparation to exacting tolerances.
You will specialise in one process and be cross-trained in the other, working to engineering drawings, maintaining strict quality standards, and handling safety-critical aerospace components.
What you need:
- Basic manufacturing or engineering background.
- Good attention to detail and manual dexterity.
- Understanding of H&S procedures and COSHH regulations.
- Ability to read engineering drawings (training provided).
- Flexibility to work double day shifts.
- GCSE grades D-G or equivalent.
- Experience in metal finishing or working with process chemicals is ideal, but full training will be provided to the right person with a solid manufacturing foundation.
What’s on offer:
- £35,500 base salary + 22.5% shift allowance (total package £43,490).
- £3,000 signing bonus (paid in first year).
- Double day shifts: Earlies 06:00-14:00 Mon-Thu / 06:00-12:00 Fri, Afters 13:45-22:00 Mon-Thu / 11:45-15:00 Fri.
