A globally recognised aerospace manufacturer in Denham is looking for a Mechanical Assembly Operative to join its Final Assembly team. You'll be carrying out precision mechanical assembly of components and sub-assemblies used in aviation safety systems for fighter jets, working to detailed technical drawings and exacting quality standards.
What you’ll be doing:
- Mechanical assembly of sub-assemblies using engineering drawings, technical specifications, and kits of parts
- Using hand tools, torque equipment, and associated tooling
- Carrying out self-inspection, stage inspection, and final certification of assembled components
- Identifying and applying correct part numbers, drawing issues, and surface finishes
- Recording work in progress and component traceability using shop floor systems
- Adhering to quality, H&S, FOD, and ESD procedures
- Supporting 5S and continuous improvement activities
- Maintaining high standards of housekeeping and tool control
What you need:
- Experience in a manufacturing or precision engineering environment
- Ability to read and work from engineering drawings
- Confident use of basic hand tools
- Good manual dexterity with a methodical, accurate approach to work
- Basic IT skills
- SAP or similar manufacturing system experience desirable
- Awareness of FOD and ESD controls desirable
This role is mechanically biased - candidates with a primarily electrical background are unlikely to be suitable.

- £35,500 per annum
- Days: 08:00–17:00 Mon–Thu / 08:00–12:00 Fri
