We're recruiting a Maintenance Engineer for a globally recognised aerospace manufacturer in Denham. You'll be responsible for planned preventative maintenance and breakdown support on production machinery, primarily CNC machine tools used to manufacture aviation safety systems for fighter jets.
What you'll be doing:
- Carrying out planned preventative maintenance on CNC machining centres (4 & 5 axis) and CNC turning machines
- Performing routine servicing, inspections, and scheduled maintenance activities
- Basic fault-finding and first-line breakdown support
- Electrical and mechanical maintenance across the manufacturing facility
- Using hand tools, testers, and diagnostic equipment
- Ensuring machinery is maintained to exacting standards to minimise downtime
- Working to H&S regulations and maintaining equipment compliance
What you need:
- Proven experience maintaining CNC machine tools (machining centres and/or lathes)
- Electrical qualifications - IEE 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (17th Edition considered if willing to upgrade)
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
- Competent with hand tools and electrical testing equipment
- GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent)
- Good manual dexterity
