A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced International Trade Manager to join a successful organisation, leading international trade activities and ensuring the efficient management of export, import and shipping processes. This vacancy offers a varied role within a collaborative office environment, combining responsibility for international trade compliance with customer support, administration, logistics coordination and team leadership.
- Salary: £30,000 - £45,000 per annum
- Monday to Thursday: 8:00am - 4:30pm , Friday: 8:00am - 4:00pm
- Full-time, permanent position
Duties and responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day export and import function, ensuring efficient workflows and compliance with international trade requirements
- Prepare and process export and import documentation, customs paperwork and shipment records
- Coordinate customs clearance activities and maintain accurate records to support timely deliveries
- Liaise with customers, freight forwarders and internal departments to provide updates and resolve queries
- Support and supervise a small administration team, helping to maintain high standards and efficient processes
- Prepare products for shipment and ensure all associated documentation is completed accurately
- Provide wider administrative support across customer service, scheduling, sales and office operations as required
Required skills and experience
- Previous experience working as an International Trade Manager, Export Administrator, Import Coordinator or in a similar international trade role
- Strong understanding of export administration, shipping documentation and international trade processes
- Knowledge of customs procedures, commodity codes and import/export compliance requirements
- Experience managing or supervising office administration functions or support teams
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build effective relationships with customers and stakeholders
- Strong organisational skills with a high level of accuracy and the ability to prioritise multiple tasks
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel; experience using CRM systems and Salesforce would be advantageous
