Job Description:
As a Registered Care Home Manager, you will lead a 70-bed nursing and dementia care home in Bishop Auckland, DL14, ensuring exceptional standards of care, compliance and operational performance. The home provides nursing and dementia support within a warm, welcoming and person-centred environment where dignity, respect and independence are at the heart of daily life. This role requires an experienced nurse-qualified Home Manager with a strong operational background, experience managing larger care services and a proven ability to lead teams within a person-centred care environment. You will use your expertise to develop and sustain the home, support your team to deliver outstanding care and build positive relationships with residents, relatives and the wider community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the overall management and development of a 70-bed nursing and dementia care home
- Ensure residents receive safe, high-quality, person-centred care
- Maintain compliance with CQC regulations and quality standards
- Support, develop and motivate multidisciplinary care and nursing teams
- Drive operational performance, service improvement and resident outcomes
- Build strong relationships with residents, relatives, healthcare professionals and community partners
- Oversee staffing, care delivery, documentation and governance processes

- Support training, development and succession planning across the service

Requirements:
- Sponsorship / right to work: Must have the right to work in the UK and satisfy all pre-employment compliance checks
- Qualification: Nurse qualified with Level 5 in Leadership Management
- Experience level: Minimum 3 years' experience as a Home Manager
- Specialism: Nursing home management, dementia care and older people's services
- Capability: Strong operational leadership with proven experience managing a minimum 70-bed care home and maintaining CQC compliance
- Soft skill: Positive leader, motivator and effective communicator with a passion for delivering first-class care
